It is a floating floor, which means the install is all about preparation. The subfloor has to be flat, the planks need room to move at every wall, and the underlayment has to suit the subfloor. Get those right and laminate is one of the best value floors you can buy.
- Straight talk on product. If your room really needs waterproof, we say so instead of selling you the cheaper floor.
- Tight seams, flat floor. Careful prep and layout so the floor does not click, peak or gap a season later.
- Clean, on-schedule work. We arrive when we say, work clean, and finish the trim properly.

Laminate Installation — Answers
Laminate or LVP — what is the difference?
Laminate has a fiberboard core, so standing water can swell it. LVP is fully waterproof. Laminate often has a harder surface layer and a very convincing wood texture at a good price. For kitchens, baths and laundry rooms we recommend LVP; for bedrooms, hallways and living areas laminate is an excellent value.
Is laminate noisy to walk on?
It can be if it is installed over the wrong underlayment or an uneven subfloor. Correct underlayment and a flat subfloor make a large difference, and that is part of how we install it.
Can laminate be installed over concrete?
Yes, with a moisture barrier and the appropriate underlayment. We check the slab for moisture at the estimate.
How long will the install take?
A single room usually takes 1 day. A full home averages 2–5 days depending on size and prep work. You get a clear timeline before we start.
